We tend to expect that ancient Greek sites will be in the modern state of Greece, but quite a lot of them are actually in Anatolia - modern-day Türkiye.
This is the Arcadian Way, the main road through the famed ancient city of Ephesus.
In its day, this street connected the town and its harbour. The shoreline has since retreated about 5 km away, so that the modern-day site is landlocked.
